2025 Mother's Day | In Conversation With Montarna
How do you celebrate the everyday beauty and movement of motherhood?
Motherhood, for me, is about finding beauty in the real moments—the messy breakfasts, tiny shoes scattered in the hallway, quiet cuddles on the couch. My daughters are my north star; even on the toughest days, they ground me and guide me, reminding me that the ordinary moments are actually pretty extraordinary.
What, in your view, makes a piece of jewellery timeless enough to pass from one generation to the next?
A piece of jewellery becomes timeless when it acts as a portal—into memory, into motherhood, into meaning. It’s about more than beauty alone; it's about stories preserved, milestones celebrated, and legacies passed lovingly through hands and hearts.
What do you admire most in the women gathered here today, and how does their presence inspire you as a mother and a woman?
Many of the women here today I've known for years—we've shared beautiful moments and faced struggles side by side. Watching each of you navigate life's different phases with such resilience, grace, and dignity is genuinely inspiring. Before becoming a mother, it’s impossible to truly understand what an immense sacrifice and undertaking it is. It completely shatters the world as you know it—and for a moment, that's terrifying. Well, it certainly was for me. But then suddenly you find your new groove, a new rhythm, and life becomes even richer, filled with deeper meaning. Motherhood has been—and continues to be—a profound journey for me, as I know it is for every woman in this room. Whether you're a mother yourself, have been shaped by strong female figures, or support others in their mothering journey, we all recognize the incredible strength it demands and the beauty it creates. Being a mother now, my respect and admiration for all women around me has only deepened.
